Heat Pumps

Heat pumps move heat instead of generating it, typically delivering three to four units of heat per unit of electricity. For households and guest houses with heavy hot-water use, they are the fastest payback we install.

Retrofit to an existing geyser

In most cases the existing cylinder is retained. We fit the heat pump, route flow and return, install sensors and a timer, and keep the element as backup for peak demand.

Sizing and siting

Sizing follows daily hot-water volume and recovery requirement. Siting needs free airflow and consideration for the condensate the unit produces, as well as noise relative to bedrooms and neighbours.

Commercial hot water

Guest houses, laundries and kitchens are sized on peak-hour draw-off with buffer storage, so hot water does not run out during service.
